"GO FOR IT. THE FUTURE IS PROMISED TO NO ONE." ~ WAYNE DYER

The last two years have taught us this so painfully, but when I first encountered Dyer’s work, ‘The Sky’s the Limit’, I was 19 years old, in college, and my heart pounded as I did what I needed to do in my life, not just to be successful…but to be happy.

Born in Washington Heights, New York City, I later moved to the South Bronx. Like many, I lived in poverty…school was my escape: I loved it. I love reading history books, learning new things, looking at a story and imagining a new, happier ending. Reading of beautiful places filled me with a longing to travel, and as an adult my dreams came true: I traveled to places I had read about and my books were inspired by the places I visited and the people in my life.

My children’s books come from stories of my mom when she was growing up in Puerto Rico…she got into such mischief! She passed down to me memories of the love she shared with her mom and dad, inspiring me.

The novel, I Want To Go Home, is based on the true story of a woman I knew, loved and admired, who endured years of hardship as a forced laborer in the concentration camps of World War II, after her kidnap from her home town as a child. Love, luck, and hope, kept her alive and brought her home.
