John N. Moye

John Moye is a native of Jacksonville, Florida, where he attended Jacksonville University, earning degrees in music performance (BM) and education (MAT). After teaching in the Duval County School System, he attended Florida State University, where he earned a Ph.D. in Music Education in 1991 while serving as the Graduate Assistant Conductor of the University Symphony. While at Florida State, he focused his research and development efforts in the area of Perception and Cognition of sound, culminating in his dissertation on the Psychoacoustics of Music.

Subsequently, he was appointed to faculty positions at Universities in Missouri and Minnesota, where he chaired a new Ed.D. program in academic and organizational leadership, for which he worked with program faculty to design and implement a series of courses applying the framework of Organizational Development to the performance and leadership of an array of disciplines. In this position, he worked to advance his understanding of the brain and effective strategies to remove the barriers to learning and success through access to the structure and alignment of multiple disciplines. He transitioned into Higher Education administration as a program, curriculum, and assessment designer, moving ultimately to Chicago, Illinois, where he has held a number of positions in these areas of responsibility.

Upon his retirement, he refocused his efforts on writing and presenting the lessons learned from his professional experiences to share the possibilities and potential created through collaborations with hundreds of faculty, administrators, and learning professionals in his academic positions. The result of these efforts is the three books currently in print, and a fourth currently in press, which focuses on the development of a multidisciplinary, multidimensional Quantum Field framework for higher-order learning.
