Constance Cooper

Constance Cooper was born in California, raised in New Mexico, and currently lives in Texas. She is the middle of three girls born to loving parents who loved God and each other and their girls. As the child of a mother who was told by doctors that it was medically impossible for her to have children, she and her sisters were raised knowing that nothing is impossible with God and His Plan for each of us is unique and exciting. In her very existence, she learned that God is the only one who truly knows what can and cannot, should and should not happen. Through attending school in California, New Mexico, and Texas God exposed her to a variety of ideas, lifestyles, and people. This fascinated her and her God-given curiosity led her to search out Truth for herself. This journey led her through ups and downs, light and darkness, but straight to the One who had loved her all along. Her love for God has made her want to help others find Truth by enabling and encouraging them to search for Truth themselves.

Constance, known as Miss Connie to her students, teaches at the Micro School Cooper Christian Academy in Texas. At this one room schoolhouse, she teaches students Kindergarten through the 12th grade in one class. Here, God has given her the chance to use her experience as a public school teacher and youth minister since the late 1980's to help her students grow, not only in the areas of Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic, but also in Spirit and in Truth. Examining God's Word and our Founding Documents and writings serves as the foundation from which students are encouraged to think for themselves. Connie loves to watch as students open up their world by learning to read, by struggling with Math, by discovering with Science, and by daring to write. It was in this context that she dared to first write a book. Many of her students would rather read a text, a tweet, an Instagram post, or whatever than pick up a book, so she made a deal. I'll write one if you'll read one. Little did she know that this story, written to keep a young teenage girl engaged and open up the world of reading to her, would re-ignite an old dream to write. Hopefully, it is the beginning of many more adventures - in the literary world and in life!
