In 2009 Mr. Lang  managed the Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies (BAASS) project with the MUFON STAR Team, which at the time was the most advanced funded rapid response UFO investigative team in the world.. He is a Licensed FAA Commercial Pilot with a B.S Degree  in Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

In 2008 he was featured as a Lead Investigator in the Discovery Channel series "UFOs over Earth“ and the TV series produced by Discovery Channel Canada in 2010 called "Close Encounters" which aired for two seasons in Europe, Canada and the USA. 

In the post 911 period, and he served as a Special Deputy with the U.S. Marshal Service and worked for the United States Department of Homeland Security as a liaison working with airlines, airports and federal law enforcement agencies in Virginia. He was a member of the Anti-Terrorist Advisory Council Board (organized by the U.S. Attorney's Office) and frequently served as key speaker on terrorism at quarterly regional meeting.

Currently he works as Editor and Publisher at Lang Publication www.LangPublication.com publishing both printed books and electronic publications (e-books) for self-published content, technical reports, white papers and scientific research (since 2009). In 2021 he started LANG ONLINE MEDIA which produces Video Content and and Podcasts.
