Kimberly L Walker

I'm Kimberly...a true southern girl from Tennessee- raised on Sweet Tea & Jesus. From middle school and beyond, I've always dabbled in writing poetry and short stories, but never with the intention of being a published author. Fast forward many, many years later and I decided to dip my toe in the pool of self-publishing, first with journals and then a children's book.

I'm excited to put forward the many ideas I've created and held on to for so long, but am now ready to share. As a big kid at heart, it is no surprise that I was drawn to writing for children. I am not a mother, but I've had a plethora of wonderful little blessings to come in my life. Helping to guide and care for so many amazing children has been my greatest joy in life. Each time, I know as they go from babies to teens I'll start to see them less and less. As much as I miss them as they venture off into their own worlds, I cherish the joy they have brought to my life. The lessons, and even the shenanigans, I've experienced with my 'heart babies' is where I pull my inspiration from when writing.

Some times that one special conversation with a toddler/young child can be the thing they lean on when troubles arise as they grow older. That's why the lessons are so important to teach, and the best way is with love and a little bit of fun. My hope is for children to get the lesson, feel the love all while having fun reading my books. Enjoy.
