Dr Jill Armstrong

Dr Jill Armstrong writes and consults on inclusion and is a founding director of Men for Inclusion

She led the ‘Collaborating with Men’ research programme from 2016 – 2020 at Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge where she was a Bye-Fellow. Jill has run many workshops with leaders and teams across sectors on how to spot and call out accidental sexism and how to act in more inclusive ways.

The Accidental Sexist is Jill’s second book. She also wrote Like Mother, Like Daughter?: How career women influence their daughters’ ambition, published in 2017 by Policy Press. Writing collaboratively with Gary Ford and Stephen Koch was much more fun. Inclusion and academic research are the latest acts in Jill’s career. Previously she was a founding director of two successful commercial market research and insight companies.

Jill is a voracious reader, mainly of modern fiction. If you haven’t yet read Deacon King Kong by James McBride, The Bone Readers by Jacob Ross and Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell, you have missed some excellent books. She also loves her yellow campervan, taking long walks with her family and dog and is getting better at vegetarian cookery.
