Mathew Dowling

Dr. Mathew Dowling is a Senior Lecturer within the Cambridge Centre for Sport and Exercise Sciences at Anglia Ruskin University. He holds an MSc in Sport Management from Loughborough University and completed his PhD in Physical Education and Recreation (Sport Management) at University of Alberta. He has published widely across a number of leading journals including Journal of Sport Management, European Sport Management Quarterly, Sport Management Review, and International Journal of Sport Policy and Politics. He also currently sits on the editorial board of Managing Sport and Leisure. His principal research interests include sport policy and governance, organizational theory, professionalization, comparative methodology and government involvement in the not-for-profit sport sector within the UK and Canada
