Miguel Angelo dos Reis e Arruda was born in Araripina, in the backlands of Pernambuco, Brazil, where he spent his childhood and adolescence. It was there that he first encountered literature, reading major Brazilian authors and writing his first poems.
Throughout his life, he lived in Ceará, Maranhão, Espírito Santo, and Pernambuco before settling in Brasília. These journeys across Brazil deepened his Northeastern and Brazilian identity, both of which shape his writing, his characters, and the way he looks at the world.
He is a writer, postgraduate professor, lecturer, and lawyer. He holds a degree in Law, a master’s degree in Business Management, and is currently a PhD candidate in Human Rights at the University of Évora, in Portugal. His work moves between literature, human development, and reflections on memory, belonging, emotions, and transformation.
He is the author of Uma Nordestina — based on real facts and emotions, a work of fiction, Trocando as Penas, a poetry book, and co-author of Gestão das Emoções. His forthcoming book, A Roda e a Lâmina, will be published soon.
On social media, he shares reflections on literature, human development, and transformative life journeys.
