Born in London, nuclear veteran Charles (Chas) Hall, lives in rural Essex with his wife Jacqueline. Now retired from business life, and apart from playing boogie-woogie piano - he compiled and produced 7 CD's for Jasmine Records on the boogie-woogie style and still available on Amazon. One of his own numbers, 'Boogie Woogie Jive,' featured on the soundtrack of BBCTV's ' series one, episode 3, 'Love Soup.' Chas found more time to write the kind of story he likes to read; fast moving action thrillers.
In the past, National Service with the RAF, caught up with him, tearing him away from his job as a 'rock 'n' roll' pianist, and sent him to Christmas Island. During 1962, together with joint British and America Forces, he took part in 'Operation Dominic' aka 'Brigadoon,' and experienced 25 atmospheric hydrogen bomb detonations within an 11 week period, culminating with the very dangerous threat in October 1962, known as the 'Cuba Crisis.' His 'no-holds-barred' non-fiction book, 'Facing Armageddon,' covers that year complete with unpublished photos.
