Rahima Sanders is the Author of Criminal Justice vs. Mental Health How A Mother Saved Her Son. She is an advocate and volunteer with NAMI MN (National Alliance in Mental Illness) where she served on the Board of Directors, Criminal Justice Committee, African American Advisory Committee, and Sharing Hope Committee. She is currently a facilitator of NAMI’s Family Support Group for families with a family member living with a mental illness. She is a Criminal Justice Mental Health Consultant. Most importantly, she is a devoted Mother who advocates for and supports her son who lives with a mental illness.
