Noel Stewart

Noel Stewart is a York-based chess coach and is Yorkshire Chess Association Secretary for Junior Chess.

He is an experienced chess teacher, having trained junior players (and adults) for several years in a variety of settings - schools, chess training days, tournaments, and chess clubs.

As an active player himself, Noel has competed in and won a number of tournaments, and now he is helping others learn chess by combining his extensive playing and teaching experience into his first chess book 'CHESS: A Beginner's Guide'.

Having formally been a lecturer in Philosophy for The Open University, he authored 2 books on the subject, namely; 'Ethics: An Introduction to Modern Philosophy' and 'The Jesus Interviews'.
