Prof Mohammad Masood Ahmed

Prof Mohammad Masood Ahmed is a Professor of Management with more than three decades of service in various areas of business and management education, and administration of educational institutions. He is presently Director MESCO Institute of Management and Computer Sciences, Hyderabad and the secretary of the Association of Health & Hospital Administrators (AHHA).

He is Visiting and Guest Professor for more than 200 institutions in India and abroad. He has been organizing Innovative Management Programs, viz. Management Lessons from Poetry, Management Lessons from Mythology, and Management Lessons from Bollywood. He is well-known for using poetry and citing appropriate anecdotes in his lectures.

He was Director, Indo-US Hospital, Hyderabad from 2015 to 2019, Principal Deccan School of Management from 1993 to 2013, President, Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS, a networking organization of around 650 National Management Institutes including IIMs, ISB, XLRI, and MDI. in 201112 and the Member Executive Board, Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA- A SAARC Recognized Body) in 2007-13.

Prof Masood, as President of AIMS in 2011-12, organized faculty development programs with Prof Y K Bhushan and Prof M R Rao as Resource Persons. The 15 one-day day program benefitted 1113 management lecturers from 312 management institutions throughout the nation where he acted as the Program Director. It was considered as a national movement in management education.

Prof Masood has been organizing a 100 lectures series ‘Know Your Nation’ to develop awareness about India regarding its Economy, Education, and Employment. These lectures are conducted for students of different faculties viz. Management, Engineering, Medical, Arts, Commerce, and Life Sciences. 99 Addresses have successful been organized in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman, Jordan and Qatar.

He has extensively travelled in India, and the oversees for his academic activities. He has visited educational and professional institutions in the USA, U.K, France, Austria, Hungry, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Australia, Malaysia, UAE, Thailand, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Oman, Qatar, Nepal and Bhutan.

Prof Masood has a brilliant academic background with six post-graduate degrees, MBA, M.Com., MA (Economics), MSc (Psychology), MH Sc. (Public Health), M. Phil (Management).
