Adam Glennon

When I was young free and single I started to write poems. It's how it came out at the time. No idea why. I had no love for poetry nor did I have any idea what I was doing. After a while, I pulled what I had together and self-published a book called A Young Man's Tale. This was through an American company and to this day I've never received a penny in royalties and there must be some because everyone I know owns a copy!

But seriously, I don't think about it. I've moved on. That was an experience which I've learnt from. It was back in the days when Amazon was just a rainforest somewhere in Brazil.

I have a varied tastes in what I read the same way I love all kinds of music. My writing sometimes reflects this. I kind of specialise in writing creative non-fiction which I do through adamglennon.com where I take the mundane moments from parenting and give them a little oomph! I lean on humor because parenting is serious enough sometimes and I like to show the funnier side of life.

Saying that I also like writing weird stuff! 100% connected to my love of Stephen King as a teen and young adult. I've kind of left him behind now, but he will always be an influence in my writing life because of the power of his early work, and how it effected me at the time.
