Ira Porter

Ira Porter is a son of Philadelphia. He is also a proud graduate of Howard University. Ira is a journalist by trade, with bylines for multiple publications across the country, including the Detroit Free Press, Oregonian, Boston Globe and Black Issues Book Review.

After college Ira worked as a reporter for The Philadelphia Inquirer and then later The News Journal in New Castle, Delaware. He was a 2008 Burns Fellow, where he spent a summer working for a magazine in Berlin. He lives in Delaware with his wife and children.
