Neil Moore was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and attended Central Catholic High School, the University of Portland and Mount Angel Seminary. He was ordained by Archbishop Howard in 1960 for the Archdiocese of Portland and he served in parishes throughout the region, most notably as the founding pastor of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Aloha and in faith filled ministry with the Lutheran-Catholic community of Spirit of Grace in Beaverton. Fr. Neil has been inspired by local poets, especially the late William Stafford who many years ago enkindled Neil’s love of language during a two week poetry workshop at Cannon Beach. This collection of writings in turn, promises to inspire the reader with Fr. Neil’s gentle yet profound engagements with scripture and theology through the gifts of his poetic imagination and story-telling.
