Sandra Mollon is a quilt and textile artist living in Northern California. She saw her first quilt magazine in the late 1980's, and began quilting in earnest shortly after. Sandra began making very traditional quilts, and specialized in the Baltimore Album style for over two decades, eventually designing one herself, the mostly all silk "Seasons of Life" quilt, now in the permanent collection of the National Quilt Museum in Paducah KY.
Her first book, "Seasons of Life--Techniques and Patterns for 13 Baltimore Album Quilt Blocks," published in 2021 by C&T is a great resource for students looking to master the techniques for this genre, with full size patterns, many detailed instructions and step models, and photographs.
Sandra has varied interests in quilt and textile arts, and is also an award winning art quilter and thread painter. With a background in public school teaching, her instructions are easy to follow. She loves travel and being with other like minded creative people, has hosted international quilt tours, and has taught both in many locations in the USA and in Australia.
