Thanks for checking out Chronicles of the Unicorn Kingdom! This book was actually started during the COVID-19 pandemic when my three daughters asked me to make up a bedtime story instead of reading to them for a change. I spent 10 nights making up a story about unicorns and my girls loved it so much, I wrote it down for them as a keepsake. My aunt did the illustrations to help bring the story to life, and eventually become a published chapter book!
This was such a fun project for our family to work on. It was written to be fast paced, funny and adventurous. I sincerely hope your kiddos love it as much as mine do!
When I'm not making up fun bedtime stories for my girls, we enjoy spending time together as a family. I am still work my day job where I am a manager at a garbage company.
Linda Brisson is a freelance artist living in Buckeye, Arizona. She began drawing as a child in Minnesota, and studied art under Kansas City resident artist Mike Debus, where she discovered her passions for charcoal drawings of Native Americans and Southwest landscapes. When the opportunity arose for creating the artwork for the Chronicles of the Unicorn Kingdom book, she jumped at the chance to venture off and try something totally different. It's been an extraordinary experience - now, she's just enjoying the ride with the kids.
