Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Rena lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and two children. She absolutely adores quality time with her crew; hiking, camping, skiing, snowbaording, playing sports, and watching movies are a few of their favorites. Traveling is her ultimate hobby, especially to the beach. The beach and ocean are her happy place and have always brought her tranquility and peace. Years ago, Rena was diagnosed with 'unexplained infertility.' Her and her husband, Uche, were in and out of fertility clinics for 8 years, from 2009-2017. She’s gone through it all - Clomid, IUI, IVF, and Surrogacy. Rena has suffered and survived 7 miscarriages, including a pre term birth. She is finally at a sharing stage in her journey, and created 'However We Can' in her effort to normalize and redefine infertility talk. Rena is passionate about creating a safe space for other women and couples to talk, to listen, to hold, and to guide, without judgment. Her intent is to offer hope and comfort, and to support you through your journey. She can honestly say, “I've been there, and I'm here.”
