Jonathan Nevair

Jonathan Nevair is an author and educator originally from Long Island, NY. After two decades in the classroom, he finally got up the nerve to write fiction.

He has written seven novels - a space opera trilogy (Wind Tide), three books in an ongoing spy-fi series (Agent Renault Adventures), and a standalone pirate fantasy, The Curse of Dragon Tail Island. His character-driven space operas and spy-fi thrillers have been nominated for, and won, multiple awards. To Spy a Star is the 2024 National Fantasy Fan Federation Laureate Award (Neffy) winner for Best Novel and Stellar Instinct was awarded 2nd place in the 2024 Valorious Awards. Jati's Wager received the runner-up spot in the 2022 Indie Ink Awards in the category Writing the Future We Need: Non-Binary Representation. His short fiction is published in sci-fi journals and anthologies, including Simultaneous Times and Eldritch Science, and Wave IX (2024), a collection of stories celebrating the work of J.G. Ballard.

When not writing and teaching, he spends his time chasing his rambunctious canine companion, Cricket, through the woods and stargazing with dreams of walking in space.
