Tracey Hardaway

I am Tracey Hardaway, born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. I am a wife and proud mother of 2 children and 1 dog. After working years as a government employee (following the long - - sometimes frustrating path of applying and getting denied for many promotions) I decided to finally listen to the voice in my spirit and enrolled in cosmetology school at the age of 36. Pursuing a career as a hairstylist over the age of 30 is considered late or "old" in the beauty industry. However, if I had to do it all over again, I would not change a thing. Getting my cosmetology license, building my own salon business from scratch and watching it grow has been a journey and a blessing in many ways.

I am now pivoting and sharing my journey with others through my books, coaching, and online training. I wrote "From Beauty School to Boss" to share my story along with information, education, and inspiration. I hope to motivate and encourage aspiring beauty professionals, entrepreneurs, and even those contemplating their second, third, or fourth act to simply go for it and grow.

My intention is to prove that regardless of time/years of experience you can create the career and life you want and deserve.
