Ayesha Hakim

Ayesha Hakim is a poet, storyteller, and freedom-dreamer whose words rise from the root - intimate, ancestral, and unapologetically true. Born and raised in New York, she writes at the intersection of healing and resistance, using poetry as both a balm and a battle cry. Her debut collection, Message from the Daughters, is a lyrical offering to women everywhere whose voices have been silenced, strained, or overlooked.

In addition to her creative work, Ayesha is a UX designer and researcher committed to building digital spaces that center accessibility, dignity, and deep care. She is the founder of SoJust: The Social Justice Project and has long used her platform to amplify community voices through design, storytelling, and radical imagination.

When she’s not writing or designing, you’ll find her tracing ancestral lines, studying human connection, or daydreaming her next passport stamp. She believes in second chances, sacred softness, and the transformative power of art.
