Sylvia Chen

Sylvia Chen is a Mandarin Chinese Dual Language Immersion(DLI) teacher. Oftentimes, she struggles to find appropriate reading material for her students, who are learning Chinese as a second language. Even though there are many Dual Language Immersion/bilingual schools in the United States, there's little to no literature that represents this unique educational model. Her passion for teaching inspired her to create children's books that are relevant to and/or represent her students' lives. She hopes her books will encourage more people to explore and be excited about the world of multilingualism.
