Rachel DeSpain

Rachel DeSpain is a memoirist, novelist, and creative entrepreneur whose writing explores survival, soul-searching, and what it means to begin again. She has climbed Machu Picchu, paraglided in South Africa, eaten moose heart, and launched one of the first zipline tours in America--in the wilds of Alaska.

Her debut memoir, A Wild Ride, traces the unpredictable path from childhood trauma and breast cancer to building a life anchored in purpose and freedom. She writes with poetic honesty and sharp wit, inviting readers into stories that heal and expand.

Rachel lives in Hawaii with her husband and daughter on a lilikoi and butterfly farm. When she's not writing, she's going for long ocean swims, coastal bike rides, or snuggling her sweet rescue dog. She is currently writing a new fiction book series titled Coastal Wilds.
