Hi! My name is Shelly Davis. I am retired from a long career in the semiconductor industry and currently live on a magical slice of land in Oregon on the Clackamas river. I write, spoil my grandkids and collect agates and crystals that Mt. Hood graciously deposits on my river shoreline. I manage our family foundation, the Gordon Family Giving Foundation GF2.co, that serves low income high school kids who are underrepresented in STEM fields, to help them through high school and college and into cutting edge STEM related careers. It wouldn't take a deep google search to also deduce that I am Mom to two young men who are well-known professional athletes, and a daughter who is a professional artist and soon-to-be author.
"The One They Call Momma" is an absolute labor of love for my mother-in-law, who grew up in extreme poverty as a sharecropper in the Jim Crow South. She has experienced so much hardship, tragedy and upheaval. Yet she has raised four generations and is one of the kindest people I have ever known.
