Antonio Sergio Teixeira Pires

Antonio Pires is a professor of Physics at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (Brazil). He received his PhD from University of California Santa Barbara in 1976. He works in quantum field theory applied to condensed matter. He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Science. He was Editor of the Brazilian Journal of Physics and a former member of the Advisory Board of the Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter.
