Cimone O'Byrne

I am an author, a mother, a teacher, and a lover of books. I have wanted to be an author since I was a child of 10, when I won a prize for my masterpiece: Peter the Protractor. Inspired by my triumph, my life aim was to publish a book of my own. Thirty years later and I have published the first book in the Children of the Periapt Series.

I have started work on the second book; Who is Kitty Midnight? My aim is to write fantasy novels for children that inspire and spark an interest in the fantasy genre. Many of the books available are lengthy and cumbersome, and for some children who love fantasy, can seem a little intimidating. I want to write books that are accessible for those children. My own son included!
