Jay Hummer

Jay Hummer started his career as an on-air radio personality, both reporting sports and spinning records for the radio audience.

This experience led him to promote a musician on his quest to reach the top 100. A passion for the business side of the entertainment world led him to an award winning career as a franchise sales person, and ultimately as an award winning franchise executive responsible for leading thousands of people.

The son of an entrepreneur, Jay always wanted to work on his own businesses. Now, he is living that dream as a successful entrepreneur in the franchise business and in real estate management.

While business success has been attained, he is most proud of his life as a son, brother, husband, and father. In fact, he learned early in his role as a dad to leave his business life at the door when he arrived at home. This simple philosophy allowed him to be all-in as his children were growing up. He is very proud of never missing games, concerts, shows or, as he puts it, even if the kids were participating in a tiddlywinks contest, “I want to be there, not only to support them, but to savor and enjoy every minute as they grow.”

He has maintained a very active lifestyle and still climbs mountains, cycles as often as possible, and tries to keep up with his young adult children.

His new mission is to help others find a way to follow a similar path of enjoying every day to the fullest.

He aims to fuel motivation for everyone, to escape routine, find fun, and live a more fulfilling life. In his book EVERY DAY IS A FIELD TRIP, Jay brings a lifetime of curiosity, adventure, and motivation to help you reclaim the restorative power of play.
