Madara Ogot

Prof Madara Ogot is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Enterprise at the University of Nairobi and President of the East Africa Research and Innovation Management Association. He was also Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Maseno University (2011-2014) and Managing Director, University of Nairobi Enterprises and Services Limited (2006-2011). He has also taught at the Pennsylvania State University, and Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. With two PhDs, one in Mechanical Engineering and the other in Strategic Management, Ogot has been able to simultaneously and successfully pursue two academic disciplines. His latest publications include Write Winning Grant Proposals (Anyange Press, 2017), History of Nairobi 1899-2012 (Anyange Press 2020), Introduction to Engineering Design (Anyange Press 2021), History of the University of Nairobi, 1952-2020 (Anyange Press 2021), and Think.
