A Journey with God When Life Hurts
The book primarily ministers to people walking in the valley of Baca (Psalm 84). The valley of Baca is a place or valley of mourning, a place of lamentation. All people walk in this valley, but at different times. Because of the fall of man, misery, and pain came to us as a sign of disobedience to God. This life on earth is full of such visitations in the valley of Baca. However, God promises a new order and a new life in Christ (Revelations 21 & 22). Those in Christ have a living hope of a better estate at the glorification of the soul and body. But even in this life on earth, a child of God Experiences God's presence, comfort, and joy when they pass through this valley of humiliation. The book addresses the pain of the loss, managing the funeral, managing loneliness, depression, and suicidal thoughts. The book gives hints to Christian palliative care for the dying. There is the balm of Gilead in the Lord (Jeremiah 8:220); an eminent physician ever ministers to the saints as our great high priest who never leaves us nor forsakes us.
Another One Flesh Union
This book is a follow on from A Walk with God when life hurts. The series' title is Pearls of Matrimony. In this book, Another One Flesh Union, the book primarily ministers to people seeking remarriage after losing their spouses to death. All the four books in the series use an allegory of the family of Peterson to illustrate various marriage situations. The Christian allegory aims to point couples to godly solutions to the many marital challenges. In this book, Another One Flesh Union, Peterson explores the options of remaining single as a widow, or opt for remarriage. The book discusses Christian teachings around remarriage after losing a spouse to death. The book discusses the permanency of marriage; God hates divorce; The need to accept providence and Move-on; the marriage options available for a widow or widower, and challenges of remarriage. Those that opt to remarry ought to consider challenges to remarriage. The book discusses such challenges as dealing with children from previous marriages, dealing with property from previous marriages, and dealing with social problems that stem from previous marriages. This book does not deal with divorce and remarriage in that context.
The Prodigal Parent
The Prodigal Parent is the third in the series the pearls of matrimony after A walk with God when life hurts and Another One Flesh Union. This book uses allegory to bring out real marriage life challenges and how to face them using the marriage manual, the bible. Parents who have departed from their God-given mandate to bring up children in the fear of God are the principal targets of the book. Parents abandon their God given duties of Godly parenting because of various reasons, including insufficient resources and lack of godly counsel. The book discusses at length another subtle form of neglect associated with the affluence lifestyle. The book discusses some dangers in a home environment that is amply supplied with all the common needs of a human being.
A Vow to Treasure
This Christian allegory is a poignant story that illustrates the value of marriage vows. Couples exchanges the marriage vows under a minute at their wedding. However, the value of the vows lasts a lifetime as long as the couple subsists each other. The vows get tested as the couple share their lives. This treatise gives some practical hints of treasuring this vow. This treatise discusses some of the penitent ingredients to keeping the marriage vows aglow. The book discusses topics such as effective communication in marriage, resolving conflicts, hurts, and forgiveness, romance, and complementing your spouse. The topics discussed in an allegory style give the reader the reminders of how to treasure their vows. This book also provides the Christian entertainment in the allegory of Peterson's life. The author has highlighted thorny Christian ethical issues for further Christian debate on the use of surrogate mothers and In-Vitro-Fertilisation options (IVF) when children don't come naturally. It is a matter of Christian ethics and although not developed comprehensively in this book, major concerns about some products of the IVF are table for consideration and further research.
THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IN POEMS
At the time of writing this book, I had already written seven. I think they are good books, but I believe this book laid a foundation for all the published books that preceded this one. Since my secondary school days, I have always loved meditation. This work of art resulted from the many meditations my mind has wrestled and engaged in. In response to the scriptures in Philippians 4:8, I have deliberately subjected the mind to the rule of scripture. This I have done to train in piety, and keep myself from vile and straying thoughts.
UPPER ROOM DAILY MEDITATIONS
I trust these daily meditations will be inspirational and spiritual to your valued soul. Sharing daily meditations and inspirations has been at the center of my heart for many years. I have now collected these devotions and compiled them into a daily devotional book entitle Upper Room Daily Meditations. The devotions are for the initial period of 383 days. Every devotional day has a text for the scriptures; some explanations of the scriptures, and some takeaway reflections for the day. These devotions are the meditations of my mind. I have acknowledged direct quotations from other works. Do not keep God away from your life. Involve him in every department. Psalm 37 says;
