Matthew Papuchis is an award-winning corporate communications strategist and internal communications leader who published his first book in March 2021, a nonfiction work titled “A Little Birdie Told Me... A Journey to Find Hope, Happiness and the Wings to Fly,” based on his experiences as he dealt with unemployment and battled self-doubt amid the global pandemic in the summer of 2020.
Matt has worked for some of the world's leading brands and most admired companies, where he has led internal and executive communications at organizations such as Marriott, The Ritz-Carlton, Carnival Cruise Line, and Sodexo, and has been a speaker at conferences on internal communications, including how to leverage storytelling to inspire employee performance. He received his M.A. in Strategic Communication and Leadership from Seton Hall University and his B.S. in Mass Communication from Towson University, where he was the sports editor of the university newspaper, The Towerlight. Matt has been a freelance journalist for numerous publications, including the Washington Post, Baltimore Sun, and the Gazette Newspapers of Montgomery County. He lives in Plantation, Florida and has three children.
