Debra Scala Giokas

Debra Scala Giokas is a marketing communications professional at her alma mater, Stony Brook University, where she earned a BA in English, magna cum laude. She also holds her MBA in management. She is the author of Ladies, First: Common Threads and a children’s book on the American fashion designer, Claire McCardell. A resident of Long Island, New York, she presents locally and nationally to libraries, historical societies, museums, and needlework guilds. She is a member of the First Ladies Association for Research and Education and is an avid crocheter who recently learned how to knit.
