After completing her Doctorate in Psychology in 2007, Dr Carrie Hayward has been a practicing Clinical Psychologist for over 15 years. She currently runs her own Private Practice and wellness studio in Melbourne, Australia, working with individuals to help them live more consciously and purposefully. In 2022, she spent six months in Zanzibar, Tanzania, living and serving in a different community, enriching her understanding of what it truly means to be
present and interconnected.
The Being Human collection features four stories that follow the journey of interconnected characters, illuminating the different ways we can create meaningful human connections. All four books use metaphor to explore the innate challenges of human psychology and ways we can meaningfully connect with ourselves and others.
Based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) teachings, the stories focus on the importance of developing psychological flexibility to help us deal with life's challenges.
Available as four standalone stories, or as a boxed set, these simple allegories are narrative breadcrumbs, highlighting the pathway to more meaning and purpose in our lives, a truly worthwhile gift.
