Douglas Jern was born in Lund, Sweden and lives in Nagoya, Japan. After a brief stint as a telephone salesperson and six years working as an in-house translator at an intellectual property law firm, he now makes his living as a freelance technical translator and subtitle creator. He loves reading, writing, playing video games, and watching movies with his wife.
