Jeff Welch

Jeff Welch draws upon more than four decades of experience to provide readers with actionable information to minister to children more effectively. Though he has served as a pastor, Bible college instructor, and evangelist, Jeff is best known for his giftedness in ministering to children and training ministry staff and volunteers at Christian camps, Bible colleges and churches.

After serving missionaries and national pastors in a dozen countries, Jeff began putting his teaching material into print. His first four books were born out of that effort. But Jeff is more than just a “kids” guy.

Continuing to serve as an evangelist, Jeff preaches and teaches at camps, colleges and churches. His number one passion is that others know both the Word of God and the God of the Word.

Jeff and Kim have been married since 1979. They have two sons, a daughter (all married) and six grandchildren.

The couple live in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. Jeff’s BA degree in Bible includes a minor in children’s ministry. He also holds a master’s degree in theology.

Even in his early sixties, Jeff is still a kid at heart. He loves amusement parks and adrenaline rushes. But he also learning to enjoy calmer experiences in his advancing years. Taking an ocean cruise is his idea of an ideal vacation because he can be as active or inactive as he likes.

The years of Covid-19 provided Jeff with a lot of spare time since he couldn’t take the ministry trips that were planned. With that time he put his hand to writing fiction. Jeff has a christian novel and the first book of "clean" secular trilogy available.
