Svenja Schupp

My name is Svenja Schupp.

I am a non-medical alternative practitioner and a speech and language therapist.

My interest in medicine started early in my life and led me on a career path that has allowed me to build my practice from a wide variety of interests and influences, which I have bought together to provide a unique blend of medically-orientated services.

Starting out as a midwifery student, I later took up speech and language therapy, included a period of study at the neurology department of University Heights, Indianapolis, in the US.

During my work as a speech and language therapist, I furthered my education as a Shiatsu therapist at the International Shiatsu School in Switzerland and Austria, where I got to know and appreciate Far Eastern medicine. Subsequently, I passed the alternative practitioner examination in 2012 followed by advanced training to further develop my expertise.

The first time I came in contact with face reading was during my Shiatsu training. At that time, I didn't attach so much importance to it, however, after giving birth to my children, I once more came across face reading - this time in the form of nutritional advice from professional face reader, Eric Standop. This consultation proved to provide much more than simply nutritional guidance, however, with topics such as personality and character also brought into the process. After implementing the advice, it took only 4 weeks for me to notice a significant change to my health alongside a feeling of regaining my internal power.

I was convinced that I wanted to learn and one day be able to help others in the way I had been helped. Soon after, I began my face reading training, working mainly with Eric Standop himself, and became the first European student to gain the face reading diploma.

Following this, I progressed my expertise further through studying pathophysiognomics by Natale Ferronato, with the resulting conclusions on body physiology and the creation of individual being developed through studying under Michael Münch. He also taught me the art of truly looking closely, to recognize the differences in different shades of color and to pay attention to the "mindful language" when it comes to translating what I see.

As a trainer at the Face Reading Academy, it is important to me to bring people closer to the language of their face and to be able to convey it.

I am particularly fascinated by the connections between traditional Chinese medicine and face reading.

I am interested in the story that the face tells, about personality, health and life's tasks. How, as I now see, everything is related and influences each other. Taking into account someones way of life and their talents, this story continues to be written and influences a person’s health and wellbeing. Face reading is like reading tracks that help tell a story; the story of the life and well being erof the person in front of me.

Because learning never stops and I love to travel, I never miss an opportunity to combine my never-ending hunger for knowledge with travelling.

In my alternative practitioner practice in Karlsruhe, I practice face reading, Shiatsu, acupuncture, cranio-sacral therapy and nutritional advice. By reading faces I can advise people individually and, in the event of health problems, create formulas and therapy plans tailored to them.

With my knowledge from my medical and therapeutic training, my practical experience in combination with face reading, the book Facial Diagnostics for TCM and Naturopathy has been created to provide readers with insight into this amazing and exciting field of practice.
