Rae Stevenson

RAE STEVENSON has followed stories wherever they take her all her life, dabbling in everything from nonprofit administration to early childhood education and now, community-action research. She has lived in New Jersey, the Bay Area, Oregon, and recently arrived in New Orleans.

Rae writes stories for children and essays for grownups about race and space. In academia, Rae’s research focuses on the experiences of marginalized communities through the education system and is rooted in bell hook’s framework of love as a radical act and a practice of freedom.
