Jennifer Owen is a mum of three children and is based in East Sussex.
When her third child was diagnosed with autism, Jennifer was already creating educational resources tailored to suit him. One of the creations was a way of teaching phonics using a unique visual–sound link. After seeing how successful this was, Jennifer tried the idea out with other children, both with and without special educational needs, and it was a huge success.
Working closely with a team of professionals, Jennifer went on to develop her idea and Clever Phonics was born.
Jennifer Owen says, “Nothing makes me happier than hearing that my phonics system has helped a child learn to read and write – it’s the best feeling ever!”
