Meet E.P. Clanton, the Renaissance man of Portland, Oregon.

He's an artist, craftsman, author, and entrepreneur with a love for the great outdoors.

When he's not cooking up a storm in the kitchen or exploring the Pacific Northwest wilderness, he's spending quality time with his family, including his adorable grandchildren.

E.P.Clanton is also the illustrator of this amazing book "I Am Sequoia, A Pinecone's Adventure",

it was designed for children of all ages. Each illustration was carefully planned out using elements from the Sequoias native environment, including animals, plants and interesting bugs of all shapes and colors.

Researching the Sequoia's has been just as inspiring as writing the story. Drawing inspiration from Sequoia's natural environment, each illustration was meticulously planned and executed with Prisma colored pencils on Futura 100lb. matte whiteboard and outlined with graphite.

The Sequoia's may be some of the largest and oldest trees in the world, some living over 3000 years.

As he researched these remarkable trees, he discovered their unique survival mechanisms, which he incorporated into his illustrations but E.P. Clanton reminds us that their story is one of resilience and interconnectedness.

Through his book, he takes us on a journey from small beginnings to something greater, just like the Sequoia's.
