I am an author and illustrator of Children's books aimed at primary school age children. I live in Leicestershire with my wife and co-author, Victoria, and our three daughters. As parents of three young girls, books have played a key part in of all of our daughter’s lives from a very early age, helping them learn and feeding their imagination. I'd always wanted to create a series of books, but lacked the idea to get it going.

The idea for my first book, ‘Where Are You Moosehead?’ popped in to my head at 3am one morning. Wide awake in the small hours I started thinking about how much my young daughter loved her two favourite cuddly toys; a little teddy bear called Rosie Bear and a strange looking stripy cuddly toy called Moosehead. I wanted her to go on an adventure fitting for a three year old. The story developed in to Lily solving a mystery when she can’t find Moosehead. It flowed. In the morning I got up and started illustrating. This has spawned the 'Adventures of Lily' Series, following Lily and her friends as they solve mysteries and experience things for the first time.

My wife and I also wanted to use the books to promote inclusivity and support charitable causes. All proceeds of the book sales for ‘Lily And Sam’ go towards the Stand Against MND charity, founded by Lily’s Uncle Sam. The proceeds of 'Lily's Lockdown Birthday' go to The Chartwell Children's Cancer Trust as part of the Lilypad Appeal for a new Paediatric Cancer Unit.

I hope you enjoy the books. To find out more please feel free to visit: https://adventuresoflily.com
