Carolyn Hall Abrams

Rev. Carolyn Hall Abrams graduated from Rowan High School in 1968 as class valedictorian. Carolyn has been married for fifty-one years to her high school sweetheart, Robert Abrams, and the two currently reside in Stone Mountain, Georgia. They are the proud parents of eight children and six grandchildren. Carolyn received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Afro-American Studies with honors from Tougaloo College. She also graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Master’s in Library Science. She worked as librarian and assistant professor of education for William Carey College on the Coast for thirteen years. Answering the call to preach, Carolyn and Robert each

earned a Master of Divinity from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in 1992. As founding pastor of H. A. Brown Memorial United Methodist Church, Carolyn served the congregation for fifteen years. Now retired, she continues to enjoy preaching and performing other pastoral duties.
