Gerald Dewar

Gerald DeWar, the author, was taught electronics while in the army, technical school, and some college. He was employed as a manager in manufacturing for most of his career. Finally, before becoming a substitute teacher, he worked for a restoration construction company, and with a colleague, ran a computer establishment. After many years in manufacturing and business, the author decided that he could bring a lot of previous experience to teaching students. However, sometimes he felt that a few rude students discounted him because as he was sometimes told, "you are not our teacher."
