William R. Soldan

William R. Soldan is a fiction writer and poet living in the Ohio Rust Belt. He is the author of several books, including the story collections In Just the Right Light, Lost in the Furrows, and Houses Burning and Other Ruins, as well as the poetry collection So Fast, So Close. His forthcoming books are the novel Undone Valley and the poetry collection Stun Gun Poppy. William has published work across genre in many anthologies and journals such as New World Writing, Thuglit, Bending Genres, Tough, Gordon Square Review, and Elm Leaves Journal, and has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, Best Small Fictions, and Best of the Net. In 2017, his fiction was selected to appear in The Best American Mystery Stories and received an honorable mention among other distinguished mystery stories the following year. Currently, he resides in Youngstown, Ohio with his wife and two children.
