I've worn many different uniforms over the years. Those of a teacher, coach, mentor, student, outdoorsman, and even a bouncer. I taught high school, then spent nearly 20 yrs in college tennis. I now teach and develop players as a professional at a country club. Tennis has been my life and this is just a different branch of the tree. All of my stops along the way have been a lesson and journey of their own.
My journey has been blessed with some of the greatest teachers and mentors I could have asked for. Growing up, never knowing my own dad, I did my best to surround myself with men I felt comfortable learning from, that I trusted and that were role models for not just me but others around them.
I've bounced around a bit, been married, been divorced and learned lessons from those experiences as well. I'm as much of a student still today as I am a teacher coach or mentor. Still growing, learning and developing. I'm trying to adjust to a new roll convincing myself I'm just semi-retired, yet still working fulltime coaching.
I'm still on a journey and will be until my last breath, growing, learning and teaching.
