Kristi Smith

Kristi is a children’s author, lifelong reader, and firm believer that some of the best adventures begin with a little imagination.

Inspired by the real-life adventures and pretend play she has shared with her own children, Kristi writes stories that celebrate creativity, curiosity, and everyday magic. Through her books, she hopes to inspire kids—and the grown-ups reading alongside them—to play, explore, dream big, and never forget the magic they carry within themselves.

Kristi is the mother of four, affectionately divided into her “Bigs” and “Littles.” After spending most of her life in Southern California, she now calls Texas home. Outside of writing, she has spent more than two decades in FinTech, where her love of learning, strategy, and problem-solving gets plenty of exercise.
