Melanie is a multi-passionate artist, creating in every available moment she can find. As a new mom, this typically means she is painting by the light of the moon. She has been doodling and creating since her toddler years and that passion turned into a creative career that has spanned from photographing weddings, to teaching art classes, and now illustrating books. Her illustrations are typically inspired by nature with a touch of fantastical whimsy and heaps of color. She resides in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan along with her husband and daughter.
