Sherri Thorpe

Growing up on Long Island, New York, Sherri accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. As an only child, Sherri enjoyed the creative arts and especially writing. Although she attended college earning degrees in Hotel/Restaurant and Travel/Tourism, her heart always gravitated towards serving others. Since one of Sherri’s favorite past times during College was writing poetry she considered after graduation writing children storybooks–yet, God had another plan. When the Lord called Sherri to serve, Sherri waited on God to lead her. Years passed and after a great heartbreak she began writing a small collection of devotionals filled with scripture intertwined with words of encouragement to herself. As time went on these small writings grew, which she began to share with others. As Sherri’s following grew, she decided to publish her first book. In this she finally understood what the Lord wanted her to do, and Sherri has been writing ever since.

Sherri is active in her local church as a member of the Women’s League ministry, donating her time to serving the Body of Christ as well as the local community. She hopes to bring to others a simple and clear understanding about the Lord and helping to lead others to Christ.
