Martine Whelan Lambert

Martine Whelan Lambert (aka Irish Granny on the Run) is a native of Finglas in Dublin. She is married to Colm, has 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren (living in Chicago). Martine worked at the Department of Education for over 20 years before she decided to pack it all in, up sticks and follow her dream of travelling around the world, Her wonderful story begins in Ireland in February 2016 with the arrival into the world of her first grandchild. Martine explains that this little bundle of joy brought with it a whole new perspective on her life. Shortly after, she decided to make some serious life changes, travelling the world for 2 years and living out of a suitcase. In her book she documents the highs and lows of her journey from the planning stage to where she finally ended up. Her book is truly inspiring and you almost feel that you are with her on her adventures.... Just what we need during this pandemic until we can all travel again.
