Evelyn Smith Booker

Evelyn Smith Booker retired after a thirty-year career in television, many of those years at an executive level. Early on she adopted the mantra “If you think you can or you can’t, you’re right,” and she decided she could. Throughout her whole career, Evelyn always made time for mentoring, and now she is delighted to see that being paid forward as the proud mentor of a number of men and women who have climbed their own success ladder and added their own mentoring.

Evelyn was the eighth of 10 children in her close-knit family, all reared in rural eastern North Carolina. She is married to her college sweetheart, and they have two grown daughters and five amazing grandchildren. She is a lover of gospel music and holds a deep and abiding faith in God.
