Ewa Reid-Hammer

Ewa Reid-Hammer was born in Nazi occupied Poland in the middle of WW2. After the war, she eventually escaped Communist Poland with two younger sisters to join their parents in America. As a young child, she was traumatized by the war. During her growing years, she was wounded by the unresolved trauma suffered her parents, extended family and friends that was inevitably passed on to her. She graduated from the University of Montreal with a major in Slavic and East European Studies, worked for several years for the Department of Social Services and received her graduate degree in Psychotherapy and Counseling from Norwich University. After retiring from private practice, she served as Director and CEO of a small private college of Oriental Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. She currently resides with her husband and Rumi the Cat in Sarasota, Florida. Her next project is Book 2 of the mystery book series "Mountainside Mysteries" under the pen name Chris Hunter.
