Peter R Violette

Born and raised in Northern Maine, Peter Violette enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and spent twenty years traveling around the world. His interest in family genealogy and history was sparked by a newspaper article he received in 1982 detailing how the Violette family had been traced to Louisbourg, Nova Scotia in 1749 and later back across the Atlantic to France. His interests in family history grew over the years into a passion and a desire to document and record his family’s history. He has over twenty years’ experience in technical writing. Married and the very proud father of two children and five grandchildren, he currently works and writes from Virginia.
